For March, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to revisit one of our all-time favorite superhero games: Batman: Arkham Asylum.

It’s hard to believe that over a decade has passed since many of us first experienced the groundbreaking Batman: Arkham Asylum, which launched in 2009. This game is often credited with revitalizing the superhero genre in video games, and now feels like the ideal moment to revisit it.
Arkham Asylum set a new standard with its engaging freeform combat mechanics, allowing players to fluidly switch between enemies with incredible precision. The thrill of executing devastating kicks and takedowns made us feel like we were truly embodying the Dark Knight. Furthermore, the game challenged our detective abilities, as we solved numerous riddles laid out by the enigmatic Riddler. At the time of its release, Arkham Asylum offered the most compelling depiction of Batman, immersing players in the experience of donning the iconic cowl.
